New to this forum and my first question here:
I have a NEW Plextor PX-712SA 1.5 should I flash the Hacked 1.4 posted on this site? This is the Serial version and the firmware hacked said it will cover all versions… Any reason to change from the stock 1.5 to the hacked 1.4 looking for speed and better flexibility with different media… Now I’m using TY02 seems ok so far but not much luck with G05 all the time…

Thanks for you feedback.

what hacked version? the only “unofficial” Plex firmwares i know of are the region free ones here: http://tdb.rpc1.org/. 1.05 is the current 712 FW and provides the best speeds and compatibility AFAIK.

that’s the official FW 1.04 not a “hacked” version. like i mentioned, i have yet to see a “hacked” Plex FW aside from Dangerous Bros region free versions.
