“Flash” = to update or revert back the firmware revision for your optical drive. Another derivative of flash is “crossflashing”, meaning to flash your drive with a firmware designed for another drive, i.e. flashing a Benq 1650 with 1655 firmware.
“Flash back” = to revert to a previous firmware revision.
