[qanda]This question is published in the hardware section for the NEC ND-3650A. Click here to view full specs.[/qanda]I cannot burn to DVD-R disks. When I click on my disk drive in Windows Explorer with an empty DVD-R disk in it, the PC returns a message - drive is inaccessible.
That is normal behavior in Windows.
What burning program are you using? Do you have any error messages or log files from your burning program? Are you trying to burn data or dvd-video?
Have you used these specific disks in the past, or are these new ones?
Welcome to the Forum.
The Microsoft Windows XP Native Burning program supports the Burning of CD Media but does not support the Burning of DVD Media.
To be able to Burn DVD Media suggest visiting the CD Freaks General Software Forum Read First posting titled “Free Downloads†(http://club.cdfreaks.com/f3/free-downloads-your-welcome-128075) and under the topic “CD/DVD Burning†obtain one of the CD/DVD Burning software programs.
Thanks I found the problem it was the settings in the DVD burner. I think they must have been corrupted some how
