HP P6 Windows 7 Dual Monitor Problem

My brother has an HP P6 something running with Windows 7.
We would like to drive his monitor and his TV BUT
when we get to the screen that has the choice of 1 or 2 monitors
we see only one monitor as the only option.
It has a VGA and a DVI connector on the card.
Is there a way to get the 2 monitor option?
Maybe video card only supports one but has both connectors?
VZGA works fine but we can’t get anything from the DVI.

*Integrated video is not available if a graphics card is installed.

Just doing a simple search on hp says both can but you will have to look at your owner manual how to get it setup. Otherwise you will need to read the HP online manual and see how to do the setup. One needs to do their homework on their side as well. And check the HP site on the list and make sure you got the right drivers loaded as well.

What do you have plugged into each connection and what have you tried in each? It sounds like the TV? is plugged in to the DVI somehow and the card is not recognizing the TV. Maybe cabling or may need to set up the TV. Not enough information.

I spoke to someone at Staples who said from experience
that the video card does not support two monitors
no matter what the manual says. Ordered a -
SPARKLE 700005 GeForce GT 630 4GB 128-bit DDR3
PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card
from Newegg so I should be good now.
