HP dvd740e no will do Disc-at-once with Nero 6

I’m finally converting the ol’ vinyl to digitals and was having great luck until I stuck a DVD into my external hp 740e. Now I can’t write disc-at-once (I want the CD-Text) but can do track-at-once = no CD-TEXT.

I’ve unistalled Nero with the Ahead cleaners - rebooted - re-installed - still no disc-at-once.

When the log says 3:52:42 PM ‘Aborted by user’ I got the following error on my windows screen:

"Cannot write compilation in DAO with this recorder’

Here’s my error log:

I’ve got alot of Vinyl to convert - Stuck in the “B’s”

Thank You!

First off, get your DMA turned on! Then give it a try.

CdRomPeripheral : HP CD-Writer+ 8200 atapi Port 0 ID 1 DMA: Off
DiskPeripheral : HP 146 GATLAS10K4_146SCAHPC2 sym_u3 Port 2 ID 0 DMA: Off

Done - Two things though:

1. I'm using a USB external DVD drive to burn with
2. The Device manager says 'Use DMA if available' and has PIO as current mode for 8200 CD writer mentioned above.

All my hard drives ar SCSI also.

So far, even after a reboot to ensure DMA was on, no go.

Thanks
