HP DVD400i OEM?

Is there any way of telling who the manufacturer is for hp burner DVD400i?
XP software says its a DVD400c?? I'm looking for firmware to suit..DL + multi format.. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Read the sticker on drive.

Most probably this is a Philips OEM

I believe DVD400i is manufactured by Liteon, and 400c is by BenQ.

I have to disagree on that. HP "400i" and "400c" is the same drive, a OEM Philips (mfg. by BenQ)

And this is easy to check...
If there is a volume knob, emergency eject hole (above this knob) and head-phone jack on drive = Lite-On
No volume knob, no head-phone jack and emergency eject hole in middle = Philips/(BenQ)

Use Nero InfoTool to check firmware revision.

Thanks....must be a Phillips it has emergency ejuct hole in middle without volume and head-phone jack.....Firmware version is BH04
