I need to buy at least 50 cd-r and at least 10 cd-rw, and I’m on a very tight budget. Meritline has a 50-pack of HP cd-r for $6, as well as a 15-pack of HP cd-rw for $4.50.

Are these HP discs any good, and if not, are there any other decent deals for higher quality cd-r and cd-rw?

Hello,
they should be decent and the prices are fair too.

HP is usually higher-quality media made by CMC in Taiwan. They should be good.

You could try to find some 24x or 32x CD-RW too, burning at those speeds is even more fun. Not all brands have those, but Verbatim 32x CD-RW are nice.

I just wouldn’t put anything on them that is irreplaceable or use them
as a long term storage solution other than that they should be all right
for every day use. :iagree:

Yes, if one is looking for premium CD-R I would still recommend Taiyo Yuden’s products everyday over CMC.
