[qanda]This thread is about the Liteon LVW-5045. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]I have a lite on lvw 5045, and of course the dvd player and writer stopped working (normaly) a long time ago… And now completly. But i saved a lot’s of recordings to my hard drive, that i want to keep and save, and the hard drive is now almost full.
Does anyone know how to transfer properly all the video files stored in the lvw 5045 hard drive directly to a pc hard drive, without destroying them of course…
new in this forum, so sorry if this is trivial question, but i was exploring the forum and didn’t yet find the solution…
I have a similar problem with my Medion HDDVD recorder and just took the HD out of the recorder and hooked it up to my PC. It is an ordinary IDE (PATA) drive and its formatted with FAT/FAT32 and readable using Windows XP. Just copy all the material to a internal HD or USB external HD and you can play the ‘contentxxx’ files with any player that understands MPEG2. You might have to rename so that they have a .mpg extension. I’m using the KMPlayer which doesn’t need that.
