How to tell Inverse Stack or Surface Transfer Process for DL?

The ‘standard’ (probably not for long though) manufacturing method for current DVD+R DL Media is the Surface Transfer Process (2P) and the ‘new’ method for both +R and -R DL Media is going to be the ‘Inverse Stack’ method.

So how I do I tell the two apart to make sure I buy the correct +R DL media for my NEC 3500? Will it be in the MID code or stamped on the box/disc?
