OTOH.... I prefer a much simpler file name
In the case of the example above it would be:
001 So Far Away.wav
But this track would be stored in a directory tree structure
like the following: (A literal example from my computer)
J:\Archived wav\Dire Straits\06 Brothers in Arms
The "06" represents the fact that "Brothers in Arms" is the 6th studio album from Dire Straits.
And I use a simple string of 0T% N%
that gives me a three digit numeral and a space between
the number and the track title
I do know that everyone who's ever seen my method and seen
how easy it is to find thingshas copied it...
IT's not only about the name, it's about maintaining order.
OTOH classical gets a bit... odd beause the performer AND the composer
must be mentioned, and often the SAME performer
might actually perform the same work several times... differently...
I still don't have a scheme that I'm happy with.
In the end you must make yourself happy and I'll tell you right now that
you'll sit and ponder how to do it, finally reach a decision, implement it
and a week or a month from now you'll think up another way of doing it.
DO NOT be afraid to change your naming/organizing scheme.
