How to get Firefox tool bar back

vbimport

#1

Greeting everyone. I seem to have lost my firefox tool bar. The verison I am using is 3.6.23. When I right click in the top area of the tool bar field I do not see the firefox tool bar. Any idea how to get it back. It seems to be hidden. Also try reinstalling firefox, that did not work. Thanks in advance.

This is just from memory, since I’ve moved on to later versions of Firefox, so I may remember it incorrectly.

If you’re missing the menubar, try pressing the Alt key which will re-enable it temporarily.

Then in the View menu, you should be able to enable/disable the toolbars, menubar, statusbar etc.

Didn’t think anyone was still using version 3.

You’d be better upgrading that anyway for security reasons.

Hi Wombler. I think I will be upgrading to the new version of Firefox. What is the newest version?

Thanks

I’m not that keen on betas of browsers as browsers tend to be relatively closely tied in to the operating system and can cause stability issues.

It also tends to be the case that there’s either not that many changes so it’s not worth risking any potential problems or if it’s a major update there’s a much higher likelihood of bugs etc.

I beta test other software but with browsers I’m more than happy leaving the beta testing to the more dashing and adventurous types such as yourself.

Thanks Wombler I did try firefox 7. But I use roboform a pass word program for logging into my password protected web sites, that I have been using for years. The new version of firefox 7 do not work with the version of roboform that I have. To upgrade to the new version of roboform they want more money, which I don’t want to pay. Question? Do you, or some one else know of a free password program that will work with the new verision of firefox. Also are there any security risks that you know of, by using the old version of firefox ver.3.6.23

Thanks in advance
Mr. Bill

As already mentioned, FF 3.6 is still under maintenance and get security patches. Mozilla.com already announced, this support is limited and will be stopped sooner or later.

Mciahel, I did try keepass. The only thing is, it do not auto logon to my pass word web sites. Do you you know of another free password program that will allow me to log on automatic?

Thanks
Take a look at this one lastpass.com/
I personally do not like the idea of having my password collection stored by some web service. It does not matter what they promise.

Plus I prefer to not have ads within such a software (free version somes with ads).
