How to detect the manufacturer from a blank dvd media?

Is there any software able to detect the manufacturer from blank dvds?
I have an LG dvd writer and WinXP.

You can use DVD Identifier http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com
or DVD Info Pro http://www.dvdinfopro.com for this.

But it depends on the firmware of your drive whether it’s possible
to read the infos from a blank DVD or only from a written DVD.
