True Plextor drives are about the best there is for audio extraction. Excellent error correction. You can use EAC (1st choice), PlexTools (2nd Choice), or EZ CD-DA Extractor (3rd Choice). If your discs are in decent shape option 3 will be fine. If some have scratches options 1 & 2. Right now I have a Plextor PX-716A. I use it exclusively for audio CD's (burning/ripping). Don't think it is a very good DVD burner. LG is making fine drives for that. I think you would be happy with a true Plextor drive... But make sure it is a true Plextor... they market some drives that they just put their name on, but they are made by someone else (some BenQ's).
