How to change the colour of folders

I just thought of this: How interesting it would be if we could change the colour of folders on our computer? I did a bit of a searching and a few programs with that purpose did turn up, but I thought I would ask first. Any recommendations?

Oh I forgot to say that. My OS is Windows XP. By the way, I tried Folder Maker Free Edition and it worked. Thanks.
