How to burn music CD for a car CD player?

Hi,

I have various music files on my computer. I want to burn them onto to CDR and listen to it in the CD player in my car.

I tried it last evening using Nero, the disk works fine on a computer, but my Car CD player was unable to read it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
RJ

Ensure that it is a CDR disc and not a rewriteable.

Also, ensure that the disc is finalised and NOT a multi session or left ‘open’

Was your car player able to ever play burned music before?
What format is this… wav or mp3?
Have you switched to a diff brand cd blank mfg?
What speed did you burn these at?
Per chance do you know what dye is used in the cd blank medium?

Nero isn’t the best Audio CD burning app.

For a free one that works well try Burrrn (www.burrrn.net).

What media are you using & what is your burner. Note that some DVD burners aren’t the best CD-R burners.

I’ve found that it’s important to use quality CD-R media for car stereos & I only use Verbatim Pastels & Super AZO. Mine is a very picky player & I have to be very selective about the media I use.

Also burn no faster than 24x.

Try using the free program Exact Audio Copy - available at:

www.exactaudiocopy.de

Burn your audio cd at 16x

Should work just fine-eh!

Erm How Are You Meant To Check If Its Re-Writable or not

What Is An UDF

Type: CD Drive

File System: UDF

How Do I Change It Or Is It Perfect?

Please Reply

Thanx.

If it’s CDRW media, it’s rewritable, and if it’s CDR media it’s not rewritable.
