How much Overburn can I expect - Liteon - Nero

I want to burn a bunch of large video files to cd for backup. I'm using a 24/10/40 Liteon 24102B, Nero 5.5.5.6 and Imation 32x cdr's. What amount of overburn can I safely try to do without making coasters? in time and data

With CMC magnetics discs it hard enought o get reliable burns even without overburning. (CMC magnetics is one of the worst CD-R disc manufacturers).

But you may get up to 81-82 minutes/up to 710-715Mb if you are lucky.

Use the scandisc function in Nero CD-Speed to verify that your discs is readable.

I just did a search for CMC and noticed that. $3 for 50 though, and I generally don’t have problems with them, but I guess next batch I’ll try and get something better.

Nero has the option to verify data after I burn a data CD. Is there a way to verify a cd after I burnt it from an image? (bin/cue)

I don’t know. I do not write bin/cue files. Try for yourself is probably the easiest way to find out. btw, there is a newer Nero version out than yours :stuck_out_tongue:
