How many lens in a DVD-ROM?

1 combined lens read both CD-ROM and DVD-ROM (different wavelength) or 2 seperate lens in one DVD-ROM ???

Please

Of course it’s only one Laser head. It can shoot different wave length of Laser.

Actually it kinda depens on what kind of DVD player it is.

I have a standalone DVD player which has two lenses for instance. But there are also combo CDRW/DVDplay drives that just have one lens.

Yup, depends on which and what kinda DVD player you have. My set top Sony DVD player for the TV has two lenses, DVD and CD. Some kinda quality improment from what the salesman told me.

It means ar first people make it with 2 lens ,'cause technology limited, and now they found the way to combine 2 in 1

Thanks
