The DVD-RAM never received it’s deserved appreciation, just becaues it was not sufficiently advertised and promoted well enough.
It has numerous advantages, especially error management.
It’s son, the HD-DVD-RAM unfortunately sunk with the failing HD-DVD ship, despite in my opinion, both BD and HD-DVD should exist for numerous reasons, eg. the data surface layer of HD-DVD is in the middle, not exposed 0.1mm away from the reflective surface, mirroring the CD vulnerability from the other side.
*What are things you use DVD-RAM for?
And which speeds, etc. do you utilize?
