How do I play an FLV file?

This afternoon I went over to the library and downloaded a couple of Youtube videos to my flash drive.

But when I got home and plugged the flash drive into my antique hand-me-down computer running Win XP, Windows said it didn’t know how to play an FLV file. :frowning:

Is there a free player I could download?

IMHE, it is not a good idea to install codec packs…It is best(IMO) to install just the codec(s) needed…
++ VLC…which does not rely on external codecs…

I really prefer the GOM player.
Plays anything, sometimes even damaged files
