How could you connect a HP Pavillion Slimline, to a Sharp Aquos 52’’ tv? I have tried a s video cable, with no luck. The image just appears black. I have fiddled around with the drivers and other functions, and ended up deleting my Benq g2200w monitor! The Image still appears, but it can’t go to it’s normal resolution, and if i go any higher, an out of range icon appears, YET THE IMAGE IS STILL THERE!

So, i would like a link to download the Benq g2200w drivers

A way to have this function enabled in Vista Home Premium,

and somebody to explain what on earth is a strange rs 232c connector doing on the back of my tv and if i could connect my computer to it and how?

This is one of the site for drivers.
If your video card cannot connect to two monitors, than you are out of luck.

this site makes me download driver detective, wich tells me what drives im missing, but i already know that. this isn’t a driver download. and my video card could connect to two monitors, but in interested into connecting to 1 tv.

Reboot in Safe mode and uninstall the drivers of your VGA card (normally using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel). Also uninstall all monitors that show up in device manager. See http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc958122.aspx for the hidden stuff.

Then reinstall the drivers for your VGA card.

"Plug-and-Play" monitor should work also.

What does the manual state?

It’s probably a DB-15 (VGA Connector) and not a DB-9 (RS-232 Connector). If you have a VGA out connection on your computer, well, just get a cable like one of these…And RTFM for the TV.

Well it has 9 pins, unlike the 15 pinned vga

Read the manual yet? I’d read it for you but Sharp lists half a dozen 52" sets. A model number would help.

a sharp aquos is all i know, the manual is long lost. But right now i am buying a nev video card with simply a hdmi connection. Problem Solved
a sharp aquos is all i know,
Normally, the model# is on a sticker somewhere of the back of the TV. Just look.
