“Cannot copy VTS_01_2: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).”
I was under the impression that a CRC error occurs when the drive isn’t able to read the data from the disk due to scratching/dirt and/or certain copy protection mechanisms generally used for games/data rather than movies.
My first suggestion would be to thoroughly wash the read surface with warm soapy water then examine for scratches under a bright light. If you find any significant concentric scratches then try polishing them out with Skip Doctor or similar.
If the disk is damaged irreparably then I’d suggest something like Blindwrite or CloneDVD which (I think) can be set to ignore read errors.
