Hotmail bans common passwords in the name of security.

[newsimage][/newsimage]It looks like Microsoft is actually taking proactive steps to force users to create stronger passwords.  Microsoft is gearing up to update the password policy on it's email service, Hotmail to ban common passwords and phrases from being used.  If you are one of the many people who feel "password" is a sufficiently strong password, this is for you.

I still can’t believe that there’s so many crazy cat ladies on earth that hotmail has to block the password :stuck_out_tongue:

They’ve had the long password feature for years.

its not a strong password if you know the person loves cats. if someone doesnt know youre a (clint eastwood) fan then josiewales is a strong password.

in all fairness i would suggest you might re think what a strong pass word is … in light of this information …
