Hmmmm ATIP blocking?

So the new hide CDR feature in CloneCDtray blocks the reading of the ATIP info? Copy protection aside, doesn’t the burner read the ATIP info to determine max write speed? sooooo couldn’t one use a similar feature to encourage higher speed writing on lower quality media?

I only ask from curiosity. I’d never use such a thing on CDs I’d want reliable copies from. I’m no fan of overclocking, or non-ECC memory, I’m a big fan of data integrity and reliability. That’s why I only buy Plextor…

The writer’s chipset does this anyway - well, work out the optimum speed anyway. My 24102B can write on a 16x faster than it should…doing the math
