looks like the benq 822A needs a fw upgrade…not even sure if its got this in its write strategies…ok results i guess…burned at 8x
best burn so far from my lg 4120b at 12x too! though the lg seems to slow down a bit from 12x so im not sure if its the drive doing it or the way the strategy was wrtittn but still excellent burn.
That last image is a 12X burn from the 8X TY? I don’t know anything about that program KProbe but I noticed in the pic is has Speed: 4X
the speed of the scan has nothing to do with the speed of the burn my friend. kprobe2 scans at 4x in clv mode. we all do compares at that scan speed.

Ok, cool, I’m just starting to get into scanning my burnt disk, and I’m kinda getting the hang of it from reading alot of these post. I don’t have KProbe, but I use PlexTools
plex tools is the only way to BLER scan with your plextor drive…it uses a fixed speed i think to scan with but if it lets you choose a speed id scan it at 4x just so you can get some relative measure compared to kprobe (cdspeed and dvdinfoprov3) also do BLER scanning but not on plextors…not sure why they cant on plextors though as if plextools can do it they should be able to also.

BLER - BLock Error Rate, is a parameter which shows how many reading errors from the surface per second are corrected by the block CRC.
