HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4243N Problem

I owe a laptop with an HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4243N DVD player that I use to watch movies when I’m traveling. I owe several DVDs from different zones, and would of cource like to watch them all on my laptop. The problem is that there seems to be a limited number of times I can change DVD zones… I’m now down to not more than three times I can change it. After that it will be set to that final zone permanently…

Is there any chance I can correct this so that my DVD player becomes something like zone free?

Best regards,

If you have access to a DVD Burner, you could backup your discs. Using DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter will make them Region Free meaning they will play no matter what region your DVD-ROM is set to. Good Luck.

You could use anydvd (39$). While it is usally used for copying, it works just fine for playing to. It runs in the background and will make your drives ignore copy protection, regions, user prohibited functions etc.
