HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GSA-2164D it won't write any dvd to dvd anymore

I have a problem with my dvd writer it is a HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GSA-2164D it won’t write any dvd to dvd anymore. I think it is a problem with the aspi drivers, aa i have installed force aspi into the computer. Here is the error message below .

Chef , the burner in question is the external LG not the Sony.

Presumably it’s via USB & as I don’t know much about that I’m not sure I can help.

The media you’re using isn’t the greatest as far as I’m aware. If 4x is the only offered speed then I guess firmware upgrade from LG might help.

I have the same drive but it wont even read a blank dvd or film dvd of any kind it reads and burns films and music to cd, any clues to this problem
