Hl-dt-st dvdram gsat10n

I have a GSA-T10 dvd burner. Everytime I try to burn a DVD+R DL dvdfab v-6.0.7.0 kicks it out at 47.9% complete and says “error 112” Im using Sony DVD+R RL blank media and have gone though about 5 of them all with the same problem. I have another computer with a sony AW-Q160S burner and it does the same thing with the same error code only it stops at about 49%

You can take DvdFab’s rip output & burn with ImgBurn manually, won’t solve this problem, but is an option. Might find something in my signature that would be useful for DL burning.

Thank you so much for the reply. I don’t post often here but I read your posts often and have gain alot of knowledge, but not enough yet but still trying
I tried ripping with dvdfab and then using imgburn to burn the image folder (video_ts). It failed with a new failure notice which I have attached. Also I tried to reset the book type but it failed also. I attached the failure notice for this also.

ImgBurn would have created a burn log for this burn, could you post it? imgBurn / Help / ImgBurn Logs.

I want to thank you again for helping me, this has been rather trying and frustrating.
I tried to rip the dvd using ripit4me but every time it would barely get started and then stop saying ripit4me encountered an error.
I then switched to dvd decrypter and stored to hard drive as a .mds file. That worked fine. I thought, all right here we go.
I then used imgburn to burn the .mds file and once again the same error at about the same point of progress into the burn.
Here is the log of that attempt.

I would like you to download & install DvdFab HD Decrypter, it will be a trial version, but after the trial is up you can still use the free portion. If you click on my Dvd to Movie only link, the first part will be about ripping your Dvd to your hard drive. After you have done this please post back on how it went, good or bad. Up to Post #68. Before you start ripping make sure the box in the left hand corner says DVD9.

Skip this crap media and buy the only reliable DL: Verbatim!

Thanks for the tip beef barley. Some of the words were not the same as on the software but I’m preety sure I figured it out. I have a paid copy of dvdfab dvd to dvd 6.0.7.0. I looked everywhere on the net and dvdfab’s website and although the download page says dvdfab hd decrypter, when you download it, it is the very same version of dvdfab dvd to dvd. However I went ahead and unistalled the one I had and installed the one labelled dvd hd decrypter. I used this program to rip the dvd. It worked just fine and created a nice video_ts folder. So now what burn engine would you reccomend?
Also I have to agree with chef the Sony dvd+r dl, made by ritek, are very poor quality. Today I am on my way to best buy to pick up some verbatims.

I am truly sorry, I didn’t have a lot of time yesterday & didn’t think about your other posts. Your paid version of DvdFab would have done a full rip to your hard drive just the same as the free version. I am sorry to have misled you. Anyway that VIDEO_TS folder can be burned with ImgBurn in build mode, just follow the directions in my signature, Dual Layer burning with ImgBurn VIDEO_TS. BTW, I totally agree with chef.
I totally agree with chef.
I second that. But the drive’s firmware should signal media error instead of “unknown internal error”

Ok, I tried the burn and once again it failed about half way through. I will switch to verbatim disc’s and try that later today. I will post the results of that. The burn log of the failure is below.

I got the verbatim dvd+r dl made in singapore and Voila!, everything started working with no problem.
Thank you so much for takeing the time to share your knowledge with me. It is very much appreciated. If nothing else, I learned a great deal
about burning a dvd from you. I am a newbie to this forum but it is a great one and I’ll be back.

It was chef that got you over the top. You are welcome for any of my input that helped you.

i need o find the original firmware (or a newest official) of this GSA-T10N, i can’t find it in no way, please help me…

Have you looked here?

http://tdb.rpc1.org/#GSAT10N

please help me…

Please don’t flash a slimtype drive with a different OEm firmware.

Which firmware is on your drive?

can someone tell me can i burn dual layer discs with it?

LG itself denies that!

LG Electronics GSA-T10N slim

8x/8x/8x/6x/5x/8x DVD+R/DVD+RW/DVD-R/DVD-RW/DVD-RAM/DVD-ROM

I have burned several dual layers discs with my LG GSA-T10N (firmware TM02), although at 2.4x, 4x is likely to fail.
These are the scans of 3 burns using 2 different drives, the media is HP branded, rated 8x:
