Any one have this drive yet? I see mwave has them in stock and these drives stilluse the old 512 Bytes per sector and not the newer 4K clusters so it should work with XP and no PCIe card should be needed to make it work correctly but maybe a BIOS update would be needed.mclub price $249.99

Don't mistake being able to recognize the drive with 512k sectors to overcoming the 2tb partition limit. For that you need a compatible drive file system (ntfs or higher), hardware & o/s including the SATA controller & System BIOS (that is, without using work-arounds).

If you want to use the entire 3TB you have to use a 64-bit OS. I did manage to install Windows 7 x64 on my 7K3000 after much blood and sweat; it required a BIOS update to my Gigabyte board that enabled EFI.
