Hide cdr media...when is it needed?

I recently made a back up of MOHAA and it works fine in the regular cd rom, but in my lite on I need to check "hide cdr media".
Is this always the case? Is there a way to get around to having to check hide cdr media?

That’s the whole point… Your CD burner can read the offending ATIP and the game then knows it’s been copied - CD Rom can’t see what kind of disc it’s on.

Sorry, you will need it as long you are using a MMC-CD Writer to play SD 2.4 -> games, because there is an ATIP check which checks to see if the disc is a recordable, if this info is found, the game won’t run, but to a CD/DVD rom drive, it can’t read the ATIP part of the disc, so you can run the game w/o using HCDR.
Hope that helps
