HI THERE (need help) ... with CloneDVD2

Need some help can anyone help me with clonedvd2

Welcome to the forum

What is exactly the problem? Can you give more details?

I get a bad media error with my philips dvd+rw sdvd6004

Thank you for getting back to me

You’re welcome.

What discs are you using? What firmware is installed on your burner? At what speed are you trying to burn? Are you using latest version of clonedvd2?

I have tryed maxell dvd+ and dvd- also have tryed dymax dvd+ ( i think that is how you spell it) i have 1.06 firmware. i have tried at diffrent speeds

I think that your problem is due to low quality discs. Try again with a verbatim and see if this solve.

Yes i am using the latest version. I get all the way to after you put in the blank dvd get to the writing part then bad media error

ok will do one more thing when you put a blank dvd in and go to properties on it what should it look like because mine is all blue on all of mine no free space or used space

To see properties of a blank disc, you should use something like cd-dvd speed or dvd identifier.

If you use windows explorer, you’ll get no info on the disc.

i have the dvd identifier i go through my computer and right click cd-drive and get that info is that not right

To get info on the disc you don’t need to do right click on the drive. Simply insert a blank disc on the drive and then run dvd identifier. In main window of DVD identifier you can see disc information.

Ok I will try that. With dvd identifier can you format dvd to make sure they are ready. Also what if it does not read it? What then.

???

Sorry I don’t understand. What do you mean with “format” the DVD? DVD identifier is a software designed only to retrieve information on blank media.

Can you explain better?

there is no info on the disk its blank.

is that what you mean

To be precise, there are no data stored in the disc, because it’s a blank media, but in the disc there are anyway some information.

Here there is an example of info located on a blank media (the info shown in red are in the disc; the remaining is in the drive firmware)

What do you want to do exactly?

Not sure that I understand what you mean. I just would like my clone dvd2 to work. LOL

CD-DVD Speed might be a better option

And I suspect Geno is right…so if you try some better media, your problems may just disappear

Ok if you both say so I will follow(LOL)
