Is it cheaper than an ssd?

15,000 rpm?!
Hope the cases for these things is Titanium and or Carbon fibre.
Would not want to be near one if a disk let’s go.

15K SAS 2.5" SFF drives have been around for years, so I"m betting that they worked out any safety quibbles. I haven’t heard of any Zombie like IT guys with drive shards stuck in them.

Only things that look semi-new are that its a 12Gb/s connection and a 128Mb cache. I wonder how much of a performance boost in real world applications that this has over a 6Gb/s 2.5 SFF SAS drive. I bet Windows Server 2012 runs twices as fast.(W8 joke for Christine, wherever she may be)

I had Seagate 15,000RPM Cheetahs for years now.
