Thanks a bunch!! That really helps out a lot. The manual was worthless for conversion but should come in handy for general operation, but the converter link was invaluable. At least I have a working format that I can use for video. The avs format looks like another one of those free crappy formats (I have 3 1.5-1.8" video mp3 players that basically use a 15fps slide show with audio). Still, crap will look nicer on a 2.8" screen!!! WIth any luck, maybe I can get mp4 to work ( the wiki on that chip says that it can use mp4 but with stricter limitations). The converter will give me use at least (proabably all the original disk came with as mp4 has royalties I think).
I'll give the converter a go and thanks again. Its amazing how you can try a google stuff and not find it but someone else can easilly(did you know about this or just google it)? I guess its just the search terms?).
IF you do know anything about this player or the rock chip, do you know what it can play? Fyi don't waste your time googling it if you don't know. I have already done that and have some unready info (I don't want to waste your time). The converter and the manual to know thats that works is what I couldn't find that I very dearly appreciate (I really wanted to play with it and video).
