I have a dvd from Poland that will only play on my computer. I made a back up copy with DVDFab Platium with the same results. How can I make a copy that will play on USA dvd players.
Poland is Region 2 - PAL
North America is Region 1 - NTSC
1] Multi Region DvD Player
2] Convert PAL To NTSC - http://www.digital-digest.com/articles/Convert_PAL_NTSC_DVD_page1.html
The region code is not the problem, it's the fact that your standalone player does not like the PAL format. Your computer, on the other hand, couldn't care less if something is NTSC or PAL.
You could if you want to get a trail of AnyDVD and CLoneDVD or CloneCD and make a backup with AnyDVD running in the background to remove the region so it becomes region free. Then give that a try and see if that works better. Those programs do have a 21 day trial period. That is one option to check into if your interested if not you can disregard my opinion on this matter.
Before you start copying your DVD you have to set your DVD writer to region free and set the burning process to DVD-ROM for the DVD+R disc.
