Kano Technologies 23 GB Blue Wav writers for PC/Mac

Looks like Kano has a couple of ULTRA 160 LVD/SE SCSI writers out using that new fangled blue laser. The K101SE models both feature a nice 16MB buffer to take a little load off your powerful CPU. The units support both CAV (constant angular velocity) and CLV (constant linear velocity) transfer modes when reading and writing data, offering some good seek times and yet can transfer data at 11MB/ps.

Professional Optical Storage

Backed by Sony's legendary reliability and ease of use, Kano's Blue-WAV™ offers the latest in high capacity professional optical storage technology utilizing blue laser technology and Sony's Professional Disc for Data (ProData) format. The Blue-WAV™ drive uses a blue-violet laser which has a shorter wavelength and provides higher density storage than DVD or MO. This shorter wavelength, combined with a robust design and advanced optics, results in a high-capacity drive with up to 23GB of online storage capacity and fast 11MB/sec maximum transfer rates. Blue-WAV™ is an ideal solution for storing and archiving critical data on removable media where random access, high performance, and long data life is essential.

Due to its high capacity and performance, Blue-WAV™ is ideally suited as archival/backup solutions for professional applications.
