Help with dvr-215 and traxdata S04

just got this drive today

i use traxdata DL discs and at first it would not see them what so ever even tho it was listed in MCSE?

so i used dvd identifer on a NEC drive to get the media code block from the dvd disc and imported that into the existing media code of Ritek S04 2.4x 4x 6x 8x and flashed and it now sees the disc but only at 2.4x speeds ? but dvd identifer sees this in the NEC…

but when i dvd identifier the pioneer drive with the dvd disc loaded it sees…

any think i should be doing to get the rest of the 4x 6x 8x speeds ?

You could try but I doubt it is a good idea with these not reliable DL media.

What firmware version do you have on the 215? My 215 recognises RITEK S04 to 8x (Philips branded)
