I'm having problems with my samsung sh-w08a burner, latest firmware. The problem does not happen every time I burn a dvd, only sometimes. I burn a dvd (movie, data, whatever). I mostly use Nero or Dvd Decrypter. Use the option to verify the dvd after burning, they always verify. The dvd works just fine until I remove it from the drive. Upon reinsertion, windows presents the error 'Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows"
The dvd's will remain viable as long as the machine is on and the drive is unopened, for a span of hours or even days, but the minute the disk is removed, it becomes corrupt. I've lost data several times because of this, and it's getting really frustrating. The problem seems to occur regardless of what burning software I use, and I've tried several types of media.
