Yikes! Late night posting . Sorry for going on so, see now you’ve been using CISS, not such a big deal :). Anxious to hear your take on the RX595 and the new CISS though. Found the RX680 to be most CISS-friendly Epson I’ve owned, with no added noise from tubing movement and clean, simple routing unlike many others. BTW-do let the lid close on the hose. Doesn’t cause a problem w/ ink flow and stops weight of the tubing on outside from pulling tubing through guides and taking away slack on inside. A few pics just in case instructions still have those small, grainy pics :). Inside of RX595 looks very close to RX680.
Yes they do look very similar on the inside except that the USB cable is on the opposite side on the RX595
you asked how I liked the RX595 and all I can say is I love it so far. I have a couple of questions that maybe
you can answer for me since they are almost the same printers and all and you have already done a CISS
install on your printer.
- How hard is it to get the top cover off of the cart area?
- Have you had any problems with getting the carts to reset the ink levels without taking them out and putting them back in?
The reason I was asking question 2 was the instructions said that on the RX595/RX680 that you might have to do that to get
them to reset the ink levels.
