Help with BUSlink external hard drive

I just bought a 250 GB BUSlink USB 2.0 Hard Drive and am trying to back-up my notebook computer. The instruction manual does not include directions on how to perform a complete backup(!). I am puzzled by this, to say the least. I think I managed to back everything up by going to All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Files and Settings Transfer Wizard and then following instructions on how to transfer files from an old computer to a new (my external hard drive) computer. But I’m not sure.

Is there a simpler way to do this? I met someone at a party the other night who told me there was a way to synch the external hard drive, and so future backups would update only new files. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help,

Veederman

Also try Acronis True Image. Does a great job of full backup to an external disk first and then you can schedule it to do incremental backups.

Also cheaper than Norton Ghost

Here’s a nice article on how to do it …
