Help - Samsung TS-H552b TS04-TS10

Hey I need help, Ive got the TSST TS-H552b and have never had problems till now. I have the following problem as you can see in the log file from nero but I cant figure out exactly what is wrong.

I have tried a couple of different IDE cables and also tried the different and latest firmware version.

I can burn one DVD every now and then but it seems I cannot burn two in a row or the other errors out. It almost always crashes at the same point also, write error at about 34% complete. I have no problems burning CD’s and/or reading different types of disk.

Please help Im sure this is going to be a warranty return but need to check… :confused:

Hi there, Im from New Zealand, and I am assuming that you come from New Zeland too? If you did come from there, could you please tell me where you purchased it from?

@dylanw_nz

Based on what you have posted, you are burning the Princo DVD-R at 8X and your 552B is still using the TS04 firmware. I’ll suggest the followings:

  1. Update the firmware to TS08 or higher.
  2. Lower burning speed for DVD-R to 6X or 4X.
  3. Try media other than Princo.
  4. Read this thread for more info on the 552B
