Hi, I am currently running a AMD Athlon™ 64 Processor 3500+ and it runs normally at 40-42C, when I run a high data program which needs the processor every few minutes it goes up to 59C at the max. Is this too high? should I get another fan?
I’d guess that a new fan & heatsink, like one of the Artic Cooling Freezer models, would be a good bet. These particular units seem to be highly rated & my son has one of these on his Athlon 64 & it’s superb.
I couldn’t agree more, I’m using an AC heatskink/fan on my Opteron and after overclocking it by half a GHz it has handled great
