Help needed thanks!

hi i’ve got this lil prob with my newly arrived nec-1300a, just flashed the firmware to 108v2 by herrie just 2 eliminate the region lock, and just now when i started the 3rd multisession with a media called intenso made in germany, i got error msg the disc is corrupted, thus i tried to scan for errors with dvdinfo pro, i’ve got some errors near the end, does that mean the media is corrupted? however when i tried copying the whole content of the data dvd to my hardrive it appears alright…

therefore i really dunno what is the prob here? is it the firmware? or is it the media (intenso)? or is it the software due to nero, or due to dvdinfo pro?

for a newbie for me i only used intenso dvd+rw for all the problems i mentioned…

b glad if anyone could help i really love this writer!! thanz!!!

Please post the mediacode for your discs.
I see you already have DVDInfoPro, which you can use to find the code.

Try a different burning app to see if you can continue to burn more data onto the disc.
Maybe you accidentally closed the disc on your last burn?
It is possible that the later portion of the disc is somehow corrupted, if you donot have data on that part you should be fine.
Since you are able to copy all your data back onto your harddrive, it appears that the data portion of your disc is intact.

A full format of the disc may fix the corrupted parts of the DVD+RW. Then again, you may just have gotten a BAD disc.

hi thanz for the reply, the media code is as above, any comment?

OPTODISC DVD+RW is not well known.
There are no scans of this media in the DVD test forum.

I would recommend FULL formatting the disc and then attempting to burn data to the entire disc.
If you get a ‘corrupted’ error message again, you either received a bad disc, it got scratched, or is damaged in some other way.
