Help DVD media

Hi, This is my first post on the forum…Hi everyone.

I bought a DVD burner but I can’t find media it accepts?
I bought it on Ebay over a year ago so I have no one to blame but myself.
Does it have to say -RAM or can the media be -R ?

Thanks for your help.
Have a good one!

Bruce

Here is the info:

MATSHITA DVD-RAM LF-D211A:

Is there some particular reason or need you have, to burn dvd-ram, or are you just wanting to be able to burn dvd’s…

That is an obsolete drive.

Darn it…I assume you mean by “Obsolete”…that the media is no longer sold?

Bruce

I just wanted to burn DVDs…looks like I’ll have to buy another writer…???

It only accepts 1xDVD-RAM ZCLV for writing.

Not to ask a silly question…but when a brand new LiteOn can be had from places like Tigerdirect.com and Newegg.com…for around $30-40…why would one by a used one from eBay?

Just curious.

Ignorance pure and simple.

Lol.

Ignorance is cureable.

Check out those websites. Dvd burners are fairly inexspensive brand new these days.
