I am looking to buy a new DVD Burner and wanted to know what the people on these forums thought to the models I have selected from a few different manufacturers. This is my first DVD Burner and your help would be most appreciated.

I have read a few threads on certain models in the list but I need to know which is the better buy from these. All are around £50-£70 to buy so there isn’t much to choose from in price.
I have chosen the models because I have gained respect for these manufacturers from past experience with CD Writers (Plextor & Liteon) and a few threads here have pointed me in the direction of the other manufacturers.
I believe they are all quite evenly matched in specs. They are all capable of burning 9.6GB Dual Layer Discs, and have similar speeds for writing etc. The questions I have are…
Which is the better reader/burner?
What is the format “DVD +R DL”? Some in the list have it?
Which has the better support? ie firmware updates etc.
Are there any other models I should look at?
