Help ! Can you help me with burning error?

I have gotten a burn error and can’t figure out why I cannot backup my movies. I would really appreciate if someone knowledgeable could help. I have tried to reinstall my burners, I am new and am not sur what is going on. This started after my son did some stuff with his cell phone, up until that time or 2 weeks ago everything worked great.
Thank You, Gary

I am no good at translating those trouble report files, but I would suspect you have a problem with the media and firmware, or with Nero. Get CDSpeed and tell us what the media ID is for the DVD blanks. Then download CloneDVD and see if it works. Also, tell us the firmware version for your drive.

Welcome to the forum.

Hi Chas0039, the log says he ( or she) is using a BenQ 1655 with BCHB firmware. It seems to me the program is not seeing the drive as a DVD burner, just my take. Yes, I would also recommend some Verbs or Taiyo Yuden media. LOL.

Recorder: <BENQ DVD LS DW1655> Version: BCHB -

My media is tayio yuden 002 and verbatim 16x +R’s. every thing was working ok 2 weeks ago. It seems as some settings have changed. The dvd burner reads and plays fine. I do not know much about burn errors but it seems to have an scsi and key medium error? Not sure what that means or how to fix it.
I have tried reinstalling the drives and nero, only thing else that I havent done is to reinstall dvd shrink. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Gary

Try burning with ImgBurn and also up the burn speed to 8x for the TYs and 12x for the Verbs.

It is also possible the drive has died. You need to try a different burn software to confirm or deny this.

I found out that I had 2 drives both die at the same time, they are connected by on ribbon wire and are both set to cable select. Not sure what happened to make them both die at the same time. Power spike? Anyone have any ideas, or has anyone had this happen to them? Thanks to all who replied for helping me.

Hi garys1
You may want to open the side panel and check all the connectionsto the drives and also check to make sure the connection to the motherboard did not come lose

Probably wouldn’t hurt to try a master/slave scenario instead of cable select.
