HDD-based HD media player from MvixUSA

After launching a few hi-def media decoders, MvixUSA believes we are ready for a portable version. The Mvix MV-2500U supports a small 2.5-inch hard drive that should allow most of its predecessor's features. According to the company's press release this HDD-based HD Media player supports HDDs as large as a 250GB hard disk, which is enough to carry about a hundred DVD movies.

MvixUSA's media player is considered to be as portable as a PDA, due to its compact size of 5x3x0.5 inches. "MvixMV-2500U is the perfect companion for the people on the move. People, who enjoy travelling on RVs or boats, can virtually carry their entire home theatre collection in this tiny marvel, and enjoy the same hi-def video quality," said Mike Mallon, Business Development Manager at MvixUSA.

Mallon believes that the media player's compact size and competitive price should make us a happy bunch. "Extremely competitively priced, this black beauty fits everyone's pocket, both in terms of size and dollars." With this said, you would expect some information about the product's price, but its release continued with technical specs.

The MV-2500U works exactly like an external USB 2.0 hard drive, when connected to a PC. It is capable of hours of standard and high definition recording in a dozen file formats, which should be a reason to buy MvixUSA's newest product. The player will cost you $149 and if needed Mvix can offer you a 80GB, 160GB or 250GB HDD.
