If it really will “re-create the cinematic experience”, then you ought to be able to buy over-priced refreshments from it.

If the VW70 is $8000, then I can only imagine how much this is going to be, $9999 maybe? Hmmm, I think I will pass.

In addition to the 10 grand or so, if you didn’t have your own teenagers, you would have to hire some to sit behind you and talk loudly throughout the movie, in order to truly “re-create the cinematic experience”.

Don’t forget…

The back kicker.
The smelly food.
The noisy food and drink.
The crying baby.
The cellphones.
People who have to visit the toilets.
Coughing and sneezing.
Stupid annoying laughter.

ADVERTS AND TRAILERS!

Not to mention the quality of the print.

Out of focus.
Not centered correctly on the screen.
Screen with damage.
Speckled print.
Tramlines on the print.
Jitter.
Panning judder.
Poor color reproduction.
Broken speakers.
Surround sound that is a mess.
Flickering projector lamp.

Oh and of course overpriced tickets.

The Panasonic PT-AE2000U does a very decent job. However the upcoming PT-AE3000U for US$3,500 is the Ultimate Super Projector and will effortlessly trump Sony BRAVIA whatever.
