Having trouble decrypting LionKing SE

Hi,

I bought the Lion King SE for my son a few months back as a surprise
Birthday Gift. I just opened it… and am trying to make a backup with
DVDShrink and i keep getting CRC errors.

I tried moving from my DVD-ROM drive to Sony DRU700A burner… same
problem.

I tried using DVD Decryptor also…but get stuck at the same VOB.
Everything is decrypted except VTS_21_2.VOB
I keep getting I/O Error.

Is this just a badly pressed DVD ?
Since i am past 30 days… my local store will not take it back.
I don’t even know if this disk plays properly in my DVD player… since
I never watch this movie… and my son just wants something to keep
playing in the background while he is playing with his toys…
so not sure about the playback…

that being said… I noticed that when i popped in this Disk,
the software asked me to register this DVD with Disney and
there was some mention about replacement disk if the disk is
damaged. any idea how I can get the replacement disk ?
has anyone done it ?

thanks.

I would suggest that VTS_21_2.VOB is certainly not part of the main movie. It’s probably a trailer or advertisement or similar. So the clever thing to do would be to use DVD Drecyptor to rip only the main movie and then make a copy of that with DVDShrink or whatever you would normally use. This, of course, bypasses the problem VOB.

John
