Having problem burning dvd-s : Invalid block address error!

vbimport

#1

Hi there,
well I’ve just wasted like 15 dvds trying to burn some files on them. It’s quality pack of disks by Verbatim so I don’t think it’s problems in dvd disks themselves.

I tried burning with Nero (which I always use for burning) and I get “Invalid block address” error shortly after clicking Burn button, like 30 secs after. I also tried other software for burning so I guess Nero is not the problem. Anyway, here is what log file gives me after unsuccessful burning, anyone can help, I really cannot burn any discs and I am trowing new dvds away… I gotta tell you I had no any new hardware installations or similar changes of any kind, and I could easily burn just few days ago, but now I can’t… Thanks!!!

This typically means it’s the media…I know you’re using Verbs, but how fast are you burning them?
nevermind I see that now…Firmware? and have you tried with IMGBurn?

#3

Yes, are you always trying to burn them at 8x? If so, have you tried a slower burn, since it’s a laptop drive?

& Welcome to CD Freaks.

#4

Just to add to the quality advice; may try setting your target output size to 4400 so you’re not burning too close to the edge of the disc.

And t0nee1 made a good point…have you tried Imgburn?

Used same dvds at another moment few minutes ago… burned without any problem… firmware is the latest I think… and tried IMGBurn without success…
