what type of burner & reader do you recommend to buy (company & model) that works well with clonecd & is very cost effective?

Lite-on

cheapest and can do the most

The 3 main top burners for top market protection now are
Lite-on
ASUS
Plextor Premium

–Each has its strenght but Lite-on is most cost effective, at least how prices are here in the U.S.

Well, it really depends what you want to backup. Xtacydima’s roundup is very good and the LiteON is the most cost effective and works well with CloneCD.

Here the Asus is more expensive than the Litie, but we can all agree that the Premium is the most expensive. I’d go for one of the Asus/Liteon unless i had some more money to spend - the Permium being the best choice for me as i love the mambojumbo they give with it :stuck_out_tongue:
