I have a friend who has a problem we’re trying to solve, and in order to do this I would like to eliminate the hdd as one of the problems. The problem is that the OS may be corrupted. My question is will a diagnostic tool like Maxblast4 boot and diagnose the hdd without the operation system?
Thank you for the response jm1647. I wasn’t sure if it was a stand alone program.
It can also wipe (format or zero fill) your hard disk, so be careful what you select. For diagnostics there’s also a Maxtor PowerMax floppy. Assuming it is a Maxtor drive of course.
